Guess who got Beyoncé and her entire family’s attention? Coach Dawn Staley, that’s who. Not only is Staley a six-time SEC Coach of the Year and the 2012 BCA Female Coach of the Year, but she also led the South Carolina Gamecocks women's basketball team, her team, to victory with the 2024 WCBB Title Win. And now Beyoncé, Jay Z, and nem are watching! How’s that for a morale boost!?

The letter read, “To Coach Staley and the entire South Carolina Gamecocks, me and my family watch your games and cheered you on through the entire season. I am so proud of you. All my love…”

Coach Staley shared on social media that Beyoncé sent her the biggest bouquet and a letter of congratulations after the team's national championship victory. The “Cowboy Carter” singer wrote Staley personally to say she and her family followed her and the South Carolina team throughout the season.

Beyoncé isn’t the only one. Coach Staley and her team have got the world’s attention! This win was South Carolina's third title since Staley's arrival in 2008. The year before Staley’s arrival, South Carolina averaged 1,800 fans. Now, it’s the Carters and beyond. She’s got a proven track record. In her own sports career, Staley’s a Hall of Famer, she was named the ACC female athlete of the year and the national player of the year in 1991 and 1992 and held the NCAA record for career steals with 454 (which has since been broken by current record holder, Natalie White).
