Ray McDonald Arrested on Domestic Violence, Child Endangerment
Chicago Bears defensive tackle Ray McDonald was arrested on domestic violence and child endangerment charges in California early Monday, Santa Clara police confirmed, following a report from NBC Bay Area.
McDonald was taken into custody at 7:00 a.m. local time, Lt. Kurt Clark said. Additional details are expected to be released later today. According to the NBC Bay Area report, McDonald was picked up at a residence San Jose, Calif.
McDonald, who faces separate sexual assault accusations, was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence last August, after a fight with his then-pregnant financée during a birthday celebration. Although the case was thrown out, he was subsequently dropped from the San Francisco 49ers, and later picked up by the Bears.
The Bears have not yet commented McDonald’s arrest.
