Nick Cannon is setting the record straight after Kanye West called him out in a series of posts on social media.

The Wild 'N Out creator wasted no time dishing out a response for the Ye rapper's suggestions on how to speak about his wife, Kim Kardashian.

Cannon began by giving Kanye his props for making his way back from the "sunken place," but quickly shot down the claims made in West's posts. "Love and respect for you, you know I always had that. But I honestly gotta say this my dude, I have never said anything disrespectful—in my opinion—to your marriage and union. I salute it, keep it going," he said.

Responding directly to Kanye West's claim that he should mention his respect for the rapper when addressing his wife in interviews, Cannon continued, "But you’re not gonna tell me what I can and can’t say. I’m a solid individual so if you ask me a question, I’m gonna answer it to the best of my ability. I’mma give my opinion. You know, there ain’t no harm, no foul—I know you got your spirit feeling weird. Holla at me, you know where I’m at."

Ending on a positive note, he even invited Kanye West to Wild 'N Out and suggested Yeezy settle the score by making jokes about his ex-wife Mariah Carey.
