Tidal recently has updated its software to include an interesting feature, and it definitely appeals to those of us who don't have the world's biggest attention spans these days.

As reported, the streaming company now allows its subscribers to have more of a say in the music they are listening to, even being able to edit the length or the tempo of any given track.

"You can now edit the length and tempo of a track and save it to a playlist with the new Track Edit feature," the app update's description says.

So, essentially, any track on Tidal is now editable, giving fans the opportunity to cut out the first minute of a song, for example, or speed up a track they find to be too slow.

The "Track Edit" tool can be found in the option menu next to each song on the platform, inspiring users to either get creative or create a playlist that is reminiscent of flipping through TV channels, until, of course, you land on a song worth listening to all the way through.

Interesting move, to say the least, and the update could result in experimental mash-up playlists becoming more popular. We'll have to see how users take to this unique update.
