Soul Train Awards 2022: See Why We Can’t Get Enough of DJ D-Nice
The man that broke the internet with his iconic celebrity jammed packed Quarantine parties on Instagram Live, DJ D-Nice, will be on the turntables for this year’s Soul Cypher featuring some Alex Vaughn, Durand Bernarr, Muni Long and Tamela Mann. He’s partied with the Obamas
Making the world dance isn’t D-Nice’s only impressive dinner table story; he’s also held the pleasure of hosting the White House. He was one of few, but he hosted the second to last party of the Obama administration, which was held at The White House. He also DJ’d at Obama’s inaugural ball in 2012.
He was a part of an influential hip-hop group
Before spinning tunes on social media or the White House, D-Nice was part of the legendary group Boogie Down Productions, made up of D-Nice, KRS One, and the late Scott La Rock and producer Lee Smith. A teenager at the time, D-Nice was known as the “Human 808.”
He’s a photographer
D-Nice is one of the most versatile individuals in the business. He DJs, beatboxes, and he’s taken photos of some of the industry’s most prominent musicians, including Diddy, Common, Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg, and Wale, to name a few.
The Soul Train Awards 2022 premieres Saturday, November 26 at 8 pm ET/PT on BET and BET Her.
