Jamie Foxx Altercation Was Reportedly a Run-In With ‘Jackass’ Crew
Jamie Foxx's 57th birthday dinner altercation involved the Dickhouse Productions, the crew behind the hijinks reality show “Jackass,” TMZ reports.
Just two days after the news broke that the Academy Award winner was in a physical altercation at Mr. Chow’s on Friday, December 13, it was revealed that the incident was caused by Dickhouse Productions team members. A laser pointer, which allegedly projected an image of a penis, targeted Foxx’s dinner table nearby in the restaurant’s VIP section, upsetting the actor’s party. As Foxx’s daughters were there and the event was a celebratory moment months after recovering from a stroke, it was detailed that the “What Had Happened Was” star approached the table and asked them to stop.
While Foxx, who was hosting a table of 50 people, was sent a drink by the Dickhouse team, he refused it as he currently isn’t drinking, and was confused when the group tried to get his attention until noticing the projection. “In front of my daughters?” he allegedly said.
The occasion is said to have gotten heated, with Foxx and some of his friends approaching the table before a glass was thrown at his mouth, later requiring him to get stitches. “It's my birthday, what is wrong with you?” he reportedly said after the glass was thrown.
But while an investigation is currently underway, Dickhouse Productions attorney Bryan Freedman said that the “version of events” was “totally inaccurate and deeply unfair to those attending their holiday celebration that night.”
Foxx last addressed the report in an Instagram post on Sunday, December 15, writing, “The devil is busy… but I’m too blessed to be stressed.”
He continued, “The devil is a lie. Can’t win here… thank you to everybody that pray and check on me… when your light is shining bright… they try to bring you darkness … but they don’t know that you’re built for it…”
