Verzuz, the webcast series launched during the pandemic by Swizz Beatz and Timbaland, scored a distribution deal with Elon Musk’s X (formerly known as Twitter), and the internet is not too happy about it. The producers shared the news during the Cannes Lions conference in France on Wednesday, the day of Juneteenth. 

A post on the multimedia platform's Instagram account shows a picture of Swizz Beatz and Timbaland alongside Musk, with cocktails in their hands.
