Cardi B Defends Offset Amid Claims He Was an Unsupportive Husband During Their Marriage
Cardi B has denied claims that Offset was an “unsupportive” husband following her second divorce filing and third pregnancy announcement.
On Saturday (Aug. 3), The Jasmine Brand reshared an article from People, where a source claimed that the former Migos member wasn't all the way there for his wife of almost seven years.
"As a mom, she expects a partner that contributes fully and that puts the family first," the source said. "This just wasn’t happening. In general, he just doesn’t support her like a husband should. She needs good vibes and positive energy only in her life."
Shortly after, Cardi B went into the comments section of the Instagram post to defend Offset. "Ok this is getting weird cause I can say he helps me a lot with my business and the kids," she wrote. "Never in my career no matter [what] I went through, I had friends or family go to the media sooo I don't know who is this d**n source going to People Magazine."
The Bronx rapper continued, "Even [with] my filing, I'm not [asking] for child support my claim is for him to only pay bills he already pays on the kids and the new one."
As previously reported by BET, Cardi B recently announced that she was expecting a third child with the Atlanta rapper. They also share two children: Kulture, 6, and Wave, 2.
