Fans of the Real Housewives of Atlanta know by now that former couple Apollo Nida and Phaedra Parks are definitely getting divorced, or at least it was perceived that they already were, per the words of Phaedra. However, according to Apollo, he just filed the documents from prison, claiming the RHOA cast member lied about finalizing the decision.

According to TMZ, the convict filed his divorce petition in Georgia on Thursday and, in the process, requested joint legal custody of their two sons and an equitable split of their collective assets. He also added that they actually separated back in June 2014 after being married for almost five years.

Apollo also said in the documents that their marriage is broken beyond repair and they can no longer live together as husband and wife. He fails to mention, though, that he is currently serving eight years in federal prison for financial fraud.

This all comes after Phaedra claimed in November that their divorce was finalized, but according to Apollo, that's all a lie, and there aren't any documents to back up her claim.
