Nate Dogg Funeral Service to Take Place This Weekend

After a week of mourning, fans of the late hip hop star will gather in Long Beach to say their final goodbyes.

This weekend, friends, family and fans of Nate Dogg will come together to mourn the death and celebrate the life of the late Death Row hip hop singer. The 41-year old rapper suffered a stroke and died last week. The cause of his death is still undetermined.

First, there will be a viewing for Nathaniel Dwayne "Nate Dogg" Hale in Long Beach, California, at the New Hope Baptist Church, located at 1160 New York Street, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Then on Saturday there will be a public funeral at 10 a.m. at the Long Beach Cruise Terminal. No cameras will be allowed on either site.

The weekend ends with a memorial benefit concert, hosted by DJ Quik on Sunday at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

In an interview with MTV News, Warren G, who was a close friend of the crooner, talked about how he was coping. "I'm hurting, and you know, a lot of people are showing tons of support for his family, for his homeboys, and we really and truly appreciate that. It's real love."
