Justin Bieber Accused in Alleged Robbery Attempt

Woman claims The Biebs tried to jack her phone for taking pictures of him.

Justin Bieber could be facing more trouble with the law. The Biebs is under investigation over an attempted robbery that occurred Monday (May 12) night, TMZ reports.

A  woman claims Bieber tried to snatch her phone because he thought she took a photo of him at a theme park in Southern California's San Fernando Valley. The 20-year-old pop superstar and his entourage reportedly got into an altercation with another party before the dispute with the alleged victim.

Bieber believed the woman, who was with her daughter, was taking pictures and told her to erase them from the phone. When she didn't comply, Bieber went so far as to reach into her purse to grab the device. She asserts that there were no photos of the "Confident" singer and showed him proof, TMZ says.

The LAPD has yet to substantiate the story, and would only confirm that an investigation is pending. According to USA Today, authorities already spoke with the accuser, while Bieber had not yet been interviewed.

The embattled pop star has been involved in a bunch of legal skirmishes lately, including a January DUI arrest and an alleged assault on a limo driver in Canada.

A rep for Bieber had no comment on the phone robbery allegations.
