ScHoolBoy Q, Scarface, Dr. Dre Named 'Most Profane' Rappers
ScHoolBoy Q, Dr. Dre and Scarface are among the rappers who have used the most curse words in rhyme. According to a report from Besttickets.com, all three acts landed on the registry of "Most Profane Rap Artist," which "examined profanity in popular rap music since 1985."
The compilation of data includes slots for artists who use the "most cuss words per song" as well as rap albums and songs with the most profanity. "To do this, we selected the five albums from each year that we deemed as the most influential or important. Total sales, artist name recognition, and album hit density all factored into our album choices," the article states.
Face's group, The Geto Boys, came in first place on the rappers who use the most "cuss words per song," tally followed by his appearance as a solo artist, alongside Juvenile, N.W.A. and Dr. Dre. Tupac, ScHoolBoy Q, UGK, Ludacris and D12, who close out the Top 10.
Over on the "Most Profane Rap Album" list, Tupac's All Eyez on Me earned a top spot and Too Short's Raw, Uncut & X-Rated snagged the "Most Profanity Per Song" title.
In total 31,564 curse words were used in 145 popular rap albums since 1985, which breaks down to 217.7 curse words per album. The most popular in the four-letter word pool is the N-word, which was used 10,098 times.
