Tyler, the Creator Knew About Frank Ocean’s Sexuality
Before Frank Ocean came out to the world via an open letter posted on his Tumblr account, Tyler, the Creator already knew about the singer's sexuality. In the latest issue of Rolling Stone, the Los Angeles native revealed how Ocean opened up to him about being gay.
"I was one of the first people he told," Tyler said. "I kinda knew, because he likes Pop Tarts without frosting on them, so I knew something was weird. [Laughs] But that's my n----."
As for Tyler's use of the gay slur "f-----," he explained why Ocean doesn't have a problem with it. "He knows me, and he knows I don't care about being gay. It's just another word to me. The same as 'n-----','" he said, pondering what the public response would be if Ocean were to use the word. "Let's say Frank started using the word 'f--,' just jokingly. People would be so f------ confused! They wouldn't know what to do. And it could take the power out of that word."
Since Ocean came out as a bi-sexual, inquiries into his personal life have been more incessant. He is believed to be dating male model Willy Cartier. He was reportedly driving with Cartier on New Year's Eve when cops pulled the New Orleans native over for speeding and marijuana possession.
