50 Cent Thinks Rick Ross’s Album Sales Are Hilarious
As we all know, 50 Cent doesn’t miss an opportunity for Rick Ross shade. He recently crashed a G-Unit Radio broadcast to make fun Rozay’s Black Market album sales.
The Queens rapper looked up the first-week numbers on his phone, revealing that Ross sold 34,388 units. “Is that a rock or a brick?” he asked laughing.
“You know he had to buy some,” added the G-Unit boss. “Anybody would’ve panicked when you saw that number trending.”
He estimates that of Ross purchased around 15,000 copies of his own album.
To be honest, Fif isn’t in a position to be blasting Ross about his album. He’s been feeling the burn of slumping sales just like everybody else (except Adele).
Last year’s Animal Ambition, sold around 10,000 more copies than Ross’s debut numbers, and less than 130,000 copies as of December 2014. Even with millions of records sold over his career, Fif is still very much on the grind musically, having just dropped The Kanaan Tape yesterday.
“I’m heating up baby, watch me,” he told the G-Unit Radio. “I’m just gon’ act like we starting over. Ain’t nothin' too big, ain’t nothin' too small. That’s why I’m in here with ya’ll.”
