Joey Bada$ Is Putting on a Festival to Honor Capital Steez
Joey Bada$ is doing something big to honor his Pro Era brother Capital Steez. The "Like Me" rapper has announced the first annual Steez Day Festival going down July 7 in New York City.
Steez Day will be headlined by Bada$ and the rest of the Pro Era crew, with performances from Flatbush Zombies, the Underachievers, and more special guests. Proceeds will benefit Steez’s family. The 19-year-old, born Courtney Everald, committed suicide on Christmas Eve three years ago.

”I was a leader my whole life, but when I met Capital Steez he was the first person I ever followed," Bada$ told Hip Hop DX of his friend. “What I seen in him was an older me. He was the only person I ever met where I felt like, 'Alright, following behind this guy won't get me into anything bad.' You understand? They say all leaders make the best followers or great followers and everything like that."
Steez Day Festival passes are on sale this Friday via TheProEra.com/tour.
