Cookie Lyon Collection Coming to Saks Fifth Ave
Good news Empire fans: If you’ve ever watched the hit series and thought, “Wow, that Cookie Lyon sure has this fashion thing on lock,” soon you’ll be able to dress just like her. Empire has teamed up with Saks Fifth Avenue to bring Cookie’s wardrobe to life and we’re excited for what’s in store. The eccentric character, played by Taraji P. Henson, manages to pull off some bold pieces that we can’t wait to add to our closet.
The Empire collection, which will also feature looks inspired by characters Lucious, Jamal, Hakeem and Andre, will be curated from pieces that are already in the shop, including designs from Cushnie et Ochs, Jimmy Choo, jewelry from Alexis Bittar and handbags and accessories from MCM.
“The lines between fashion and entertainment are intersecting,” said Marc Metrick, president of Saks Fifth Avenue. “Harnessing this moment is a key underpinning to our strategy as it brings energy and uniqueness to the shopping experience at Saks.”
The looks will be featured in Saks Fifth Avenue windows September 10 to October 7 to celebrate the show’s return for its second season on September 23.
