There’s no doubt that Beyoncé's headlining Made in America set was flawless, but was it copied?

Choreographer Parris Goebel posted a video on Instagram juxtaposing his choreography with Bey’s MIA performance, and they look pretty similar.  

Goebel, who has worked with Janet Jackson and Jennifer Lopez, put together his own routine to “7/11” with several female dancers standing in a formation as they bend over and “smack it, smack it, in the air.” The video was originally posted before Bey took the MIA stage. In Bey’s performance, she too lines up with her dancers bent over, and do the hand-smacking motion.

This isn’t the first time that the superstar’s performances have been called into question for copying ideas. Like in the previous cases, Bey (or her choreographer) could have merely been inspired by Goebel’s video.
