J. Cole Sends A Message To 21 Savage During Stunning NBA All-Star Game Half-Time Show
While Stephen Curry’s incredible bounce pass to Giannis Antetokounmpo stole the show in the first half of the 2019 NBA All-Star game, J. Cole put on a show of his own at halftime.
Donning a vintage Charlotte Hornets jacket in honor of his home state team, the North Carolina emcee’s set heated up on the second song, when he performed his verse to 21 Savage’s “a lot” from i am > i was.
After the instrumentals for the song lit up the loudspeakers, Cole walked off the front of the stage and acknowledged the track’s creator and the recent immigration battle he’s been fighting.
“21 Savage! We love you,” Cole yelled on his way to another stage.
All in all, the show was lit and social media noticed as well
