Khalid’s Mother Reveals Details About His Recent Car Accident
New details have been released about Grammy nominated singer-songwriter Khalid’s recent car accident earlier this month.
Khalid first reached fame after the release of his debut album American Teen, having Billboard-charting hits like “Location” and “Young Dumb & Broke” that would put him on the map.
He has been nominated for six Grammys, six Billboard Music Awards, and three American Music Awards for his notable features with artists such as Logic, Alessia Cara, Normani, Billie Eillish, Benny Blanco and Halsey.
The “Eastside” artist was joining Grammy award-winning star singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran on his “+-=÷x” (Mathematics) tour, before having to drop out temporarily due to the car accident. Sheeran told fans at the Landover, Maryland show, “I just want to say, before I introduce this next song, that I really hope Khalid gets well soon and that he'll be joining us in Boston.”
Khalid’s mother, Linda Wolfe, recently revealed to ABC-7 that the artist pulled over after his car began overheating, moved into the passenger seat, then was hit by a passing car in doing so. She shared that he suffered minor injuries and is now taking some recovery time.
Fans are wishing the star well and hoping for the better, one commenting, “Khalid, so sorry to hear you were in an accident. You’re such a bright light and I hope you’re able to rest up, heal, and feel better soon! ❤️🩹”
