Game Says Drake and Meek Mill's Beef Was Good for Hip Hop
Game’s finally closing in on the long-awaited The Documentary 2 release date, which was recently announced as a double-disc album. During his press run in New York City, the Compton rapper stopped by The Breakfast Club to talk about his various lawsuits, rap beefs, India Love and much more.
Game is known to have beefed with plenty of rappers, ranging from 50 Cent to Lil Durk. It was interesting to hear his take on this year’s most-talked about beef involving Meek and Drizzy.
“That was a really good rap beef,” he says. “I liked it. Everybody liked it. It was a rap beef that didn’t go street or hood. It was played out without any violence, and I think that’s dope. It goes back to back in the day with KRS and the Busy Bees and all of that. I think it was dope. It was good for hip hop.”
Can Meek recover from his loss? “If you take an L in a rap beef, just keep doing you and act like it didn’t happen. Put out some dope music and do whatever,” Game said.
Earlier in the interview, Game talked about his tendency to beef with other rappers, specifically addressing his feuds with Lil Durk and Young Thug. “If I don’t like stuff in hip hop, I address it,” he says.
Watch the rest of the interview, in which Game speaks on G-Unit, Dr. Dre and Aftermath and what fans can expect when The Documentary 2 releases on Oct. 9, followed by the second disc on Oct. 16.
