Jay Z Disses Drake in a Freestyle with Jay Electronica over "We Made It"

Hov has something to say to Drizzy about "corny" art talk.

Jay Z isn't going to just sit and watch anyone take his throne. Jay used his guest verse on Jay Electronica's "We Made It" freestyle to respond to Drake's recent diss in Rolling Stone about the art references in his lyrics.
"Sorry Mr. Drizzy for so much art talk," Jay Z raps on the instrumental of the Soulja Boy song. "Silly me, rappin' 'bout sh-- that I really bought / While these rappers rap about guns that they ain't shot / And a bunch of other silly sh-- that they ain't got."

In the article from February's Rolling Stone, Drake criticizes Jay Z's frequent references to art, especially on his latest album Magna Carta Holy Grail. "It's like Hov can't drop bars these days without at least four art references," he says. "I would love to collect [art] at some point, but I think the whole rap/art world thing is getting kind of corny."
It's not the first time Drake has come after the rap legend. He seemed to make reference to Jay Z and Kanye West on his track "I'm On One," with the lyrics, "I'm just feelin' like the throne is for the taking. Watch me take it."
He admits in Rolling Stone that there has been a rift between himself and his former mentors. "It was a lack of communication paired with natural competitiveness," Drake says in the piece. "But those two are gods to me."
We'll have to wait and see if Drake makes a retaliatory move, but for now, Hov has spoken.
