Ice Cube Presents Donation to Alma Mater

The rapper presented $5,000 for his Los Angeles high school's music programs.

Hip-hop artist Ice Cube recently showed up at Taft High School in Woodland Hills, Calif. to present his alma mater with a $5,000 check to fund their music programs. The monetary gift is part of a music education initiative supported by the Grammy Foundation, Best Buy's philanthropic group @15, and Best Buy Mobile, which has donated over $1,000,000 to music programs to date.

Ice Cube began honing his rapping skills when he was 16 years old and learned to play the keyboards during his time at Taft High School.
