Adrienne Bailon And Naturi Naughton Spark New Music Rumors As 2LW
A joint social media post from Adrienne Bailon and Naturi Naughton is sparking rumors that the once estranged former group members may be reunited under the moniker, 2LW.
The photo was captioned “#2LW” with a winky face emoji and the hashtag, #LetTheHealingBegin.
The former members of 3LW have gone on to illustrious careers in other entertainment spaces since the break up of the group more than 20 years ago. Naughton has garnered success and acclaim as a cast member of the Starz hit series, Power and the now-defunct ABC series, Queens.

Bailon was a co-host of the daytime talk show The Real which was recently canceled. Both women had quietly been releasing music over the years. Naughton individually and Bailon with her husband gospel star Israel Houghton.
3LW had several modest hit singles in the early 2000s. They started their career at Epic Records and later went over to So So Def and ended at Sony. Their first single, “No More (Baby I’ma Do Right) was released in the fall of 2000. The group underwent turmoil with member changes with Naughton leaving 3LW in 2002 after a physical altercation with herself and Kiely Williams.
Naughton previously told MTV News about the altercation and about why she left the group in 2002, saying, “There was an argument between me and Michelle [Williams] and Kiely and Adrienne [Bailon, the group’s third member,] are cursing me out, and before I know it, Kiely throws her plate of food all in my face.”
She later added, “For a long time the girls of 3LW were tight—that wasn’t the problem. It was a push by management, who always had something about Naturi. They said, ‘We need to get her out, you guys would be better off.’ As if I’m bringing the group down and holding them back […] I think it’s crazy that they were trying to split up what was strong, what was successful. And they did it.”
Additionally, Williams and Bailon went on to make music and appear in films alongside Raven-Symone and Sabrina Bryan as The Cheetah Girls in a Disney original movie and became a real group after the success of the film.
The group officially disbanded in 2008.
Fans appear to be excited about the reunion of Bailon and Naughton with more than 2,000 supportive comments on the Instagram post.
