Lil Durk and Chief Keef Settle Their Differences
The rift is over, Lil Durk and Chief Keef have settled their differences. Durk tweeted about the reconciliation yesterday (Aug. 20) afternoon writing, "It's back OTFxGBE Chicago we back at it @ChiefKeef my brother #300 s/o @slypolaroid and @Nuface."
He also posted a screenshot of the tweet on Instagram with the caption, "real money real Chicago."
Keef and Durk hadn't been on good terms since before the summer. In early May, Durk called the 18-year-old rapper out for what he saw as his Windy City comrade choosing Tyga's side in their mini-beef.
After Sosa tweeted a link to Tyga's "Chi-Raq to LA" remix, which disses Durk, he caught a public tongue lashing from his friend. "He ain't disrespect me only, he disrespect[ed] the whole Chicago," Durk concluded in an interview. "You ain't gotta deal with me at the end of the day, you gotta deal with everybody."
It's not clear what got them back on common ground, but they made it through the fallout in time to maybe record on each other's albums. Durk's debut and Keef's sophomore effort are both due this year.
