Chris Rock on What Your Music Says About You
Chris Rock's new film Top Five imparts a lot of valuable lessons about love, relationships and showbiz. We sat down with several members of the film's extensive ensemble cast to share some of the wisdom they gained from working on the romantic comedy.
In our exclusive interview, Rock, Rosario Dawson, JB Smoove and others tell us what a person's top five favorite hip hop artists say about them. Rock himself says he would give the side-eye to a guy whose tastes included Three 6 Mafia and 2 Live Crew. "That's pretty misogynistic," he says. "You want a little sensitivity in there!"
Meanwhile, Rock's co-stars Dawson and Gabrielle Union believe a couple's musical taste doesn't need to match for love to bloom. "A lot of my more conscientious friends don't necessarily listen to conscientious rap," explains Union. "If a guy listens to NWA and Wacka Flocka Flame, I don't think it's going to have any bearing on how he treats you."

Top Five hits theaters everywhere on Friday, December 12.
