[Watch] The Clippers Just Got Some Terrible News
The defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors weren't the only team to get some bad news Monday.
Hours after it was reported that league MVP Stephen Curry will miss at least two weeks with an MCL sprain in his right knee, Los Angeles Clippers star Chris Paul broke a bone in his right hand during Game 4 of the Clippers-Portland Trail Blazers' first-round playoff series.
Peep how it happened.
Bad break...literally.
Compounding the matter is that the Clippers' other star, Blake Griffin, is dealing with his quadricep injury again.
What devastating news for the Clippers. After it was announced earlier Monday that the Warriors, who are up 3-1 on the Houston Rockets in their first-round series, would be without Curry for at least two weeks, the Clippers had to be thinking about dethroning the defending champs...and doing it easily.
Instead, they're stuck in a 2-2 tie with the Trail Blazers after losing Game 4 on Monday night and could wind up not even making it out of the first round altogether without Paul. Just when it looked like he had his best shot of making the Conference Finals for the first time in his career, he breaks his hand.
Damn shame. Who would have ever thought this could happen?
Somebody insert the crying Michael Jordan meme on CP3.
