Polo G Has Miami Felony Charges Dropped
Rapper Polo G has had his three Miami felony charges dropped following an incident in June in the Florida city.
TMZ reports that Miami-Dade County prosecutors have dropped charges of battering a police officer and threatening a public servant. His third felony charge was reduced to a misdemeanor, resisting an officer without violence.
According to Fader, the Chicago rapper born Taurus Tremani Bartlett was arrested on June 12 after a traffic stop. Tweets from his mother, Stasia Mac, alleged that her son was being tailgated by multiple police cars after a release party for his TKTK album, Hall of Fame.
"He was a PASSENGER in a professionally licensed vehicle with security," she wrote. "He was moving smart and correctly. What more could he have done."
He was released on $19,500 bail but was arrested again in Los Angeles on Sept. 7 after the Los Angeles Police Department found a concealed firearm he was allegedly carrying.
The “Bad Man (Smooth Criminal)” artist soon posted bail and is scheduled to appear in Los Angeles County Court on Jan. 6, 2022, which is also his 23rd birthday.
Florida public records do not show when Polo’s next appearance in Miami-Dade Court will take place.
