Donald Glover Cancels Remaining Childish Gambino Tour Dates Due to Health Issues
Donald Glover has canceled the remainder of his Childish Gambino tour dates due to a health issue.
On Friday (Oct. 4), the musician announced on X (formerly Twitter) that he was hospitalized following his New Orleans show due to an ailment. “After my show in New Orleans, I went to the hospital in Houston to make sure of an ailment that had become apparent,” he began. “After being assesed, it became clear i would not perform that night, and after more tests, i could not perform the rest of the US tour in the time asked. As of now I have surgery scheduled and need time out to heal.”
Glover continued, “My path to recovery is something I need to confront seriously. With that said, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of the North American tour and the UK and European dates. Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase.”
He concluded, “I want nothing more than to bring this show to the fans and perform. Until then, thanks for love, privacy, and support.” See the related post below.
Childish Gambino's "The New World Tour" was his first tour since 2019. It kicked off on Aug. 11 in Oklahoma City. It was set to hit major cities across North America before continuing to Europe, the U.K., New Zealand, and Australia into early 2025. This cancellation impacts over 30 scheduled dates.
He released his fifth and final studio album Bando Stone & the New World on July 19. The 17-track project features vocals from Chlöe, Amaarae, Flo Milli, Jorja Smith, Yeat, and more.
