J. Cole Announces Second Edition of Tour

MC extends What Dreams May Come with special birthday show.

J. Cole and his fans are having such a great time on the What Dreams May Come Tour that he decided to launch a second edition.

Beginning early next year (Jan. 14 in Vancouver, to be exact), the North Carolina-bred MC will head out for ten new dates in the U.S. and Canada, including a special performance on his birthday, Jan. 28, at Madison Square Garden in NYC during Super Bowl week. The only other cities he'll hit in the U.S. are Washington, D.C. (Jan. 30) and Mashantucket, Conn., where he wraps (Feb. 1).

Cole first kicked off the jaunt with Wale in September to a sold out crowd in Miami and with surprise guest Rick Ross. The Roc Nation rappers hit 30 cities nationwide, selling out in minutes in Los Angeles and making history with Cole being the first hip hop artist to play the Colisseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

He followed up with a European leg, which he is currently on, and after both editions are complete, he'll join Eminem for four dates in Australia and New Zealand.

That's a lot of traveling. But there's much to celebrate. Cole's second studio album, Born Sinner peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard charts in June, was certified gold in August and has so far spawned three successful singles — "Power Trip" featuring Miguel, "Crooked Smile" featuring TLC and "Forbidden Fruit" — and the recently released "She Knows" featuring Brooklyn-based singer Amber Coffman.

Tickets for the second edition of What Dreams May Come go on sale Friday (Nov. 15).
