DMX's Bankruptcy Filing Gets Rejected

Judge dismisses rapper's Chapter 11 request.

Those discrepancies in DMX's bankruptcy case caught up to him Friday (Nov. 8), reports The Hollywood Reporter. A federal judge dismissed his Chapter 11 filing, citing "obvious inconsistencies regarding his income and assets."

X has been attempting to reorganize his finances after racking up $1.3 million in child support claims. But in his paperwork, for example, he listed his income at $5,000 per month in one filing and $1,667 in another. He also claimed that he spent $1000 per month on clothes, but counted $0 worth of clothes as an asset. The judged said it was "impossible to ascertain his financial affairs."

Now, the rapper is left vulnerable to his debts and lawsuits and could lose his share in a Mount Kisco, New York home, and all of it is blocking his chance of getting a passport and getting overseas to connect with his fanbase in Africa and Europe, which his team is "working relentlessly" towards, his rep Domenick Nati said.

Previously, Nati explained that it was "poor financial management" by X's previous reps that got him into these circumstances.

Meanwhile, X is also balancing his arrest record. He skipped out an appearance on Wendy Williams after getting booked on driving without a license.
