Rich Homie Quan’s father is in critical condition at an Atlanta hospital after he was shot several times this morning, TMZ reports.

Corey Lamar appears to be the victim of an apparent robbery attempt, according to the site. He was shot four times after his barber shop was held up, and at least one suspect opened fire. It is unclear if police have made any arrests.

This is the second time that Lamar’s shop has been shot up in the last month. A witness said that he unsuccessfully tried to chase the gunman. “I heard about three gunshots, and so I saw the guy come out,” said Van White. “He got in a black car, and that's all I know from there.”

Lamar is not only Quan’s patriarch, he’s also the 24-year-old rapper’s manager. He is said to be undergoing surgery and is expected to survive. Quan is reportedly at the hospital awaiting the end of his dad’s medical procedure.

The “Type of Way” rhymer hasn’t commented on the shooting.
