NeNe Leakes will finally get her chance to shine on Broadway! The Real Housewives of Atlanta star has signed on to take over for Sherri Shepherd in the production of Cinderella, reports Broadway World. Leakes will assume the role of the wicked stepmother in Rodgers and Hammerstien's production once Shepherd completes her stint on November 25.
Leakes will be joining the stage alongside previously announced KeKe Palmer, who will mark the first Black actress to portray Cinderella on Broadway.
After her star-making stint on Real Housewives of Atlanta, Leakes is making headway as an actress in non-reality formats including Glee, The New Normal and in Cirque du Soleil's Zumanity.
