Amber Rose Talks Co-Parenting With Wiz Khalifa And Overcoming Heartbreak After Their Split

The former couple are parents to a 10-year-old son.

The flame between Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa dimmed nearly a decade ago, but their roles as Mom and Dad are still going strong.

On Wednesday’s (Dec. 3)  episode of "Tamron Hall,”, the internet baddie opened up about the co-parenting lifestyle between herself and the "Black and Yellow" rapper, as reported by PEOPLE. During that candid interview, she also shed light on the self-love journey she's been on since their split in 2014.

Although these parents are no longer an item, they have managed to be allies for their son, Sebastion, 10.

“I think that me and Wiz are so, best friends now, that — we’re so far past being in love that I can say that now, right? It’s not like anything that we would circle back to or anything. We’re just friends and co-parents,” she told Hall.

As cited by Complex, the former husband and wife cut the plug on their romance in 2014 after only being married one year.

Rose also addressed comments she made on the "No Jumper Podcast" in 2023 about how her split from the award-winning rapper affected her, revealing she "cried for like three years straight."

"Wiz was the love of my life. I used to just sit in the shower and be like, ‘F---," she added.

While speaking on the live broadcast with Hall, Rose said, “Well usually, celebrities won’t do that ‘cause they don’t want the whole internet to say something. And for me, I just need to be honest."

The talk show host questioned if that moment of transparency provided "healing" for her, but according to Rose, it was "just the truth.”

The mom of two –who also shares a 4-year-old son, Slash Electric Alexander, with ex Alexander "AE" Edwards– said after her break up Wiz Khalifa, she learned to "Never love again, and then I did, and the same thing happened."

“Stay away from me, that’s the lesson,” she quipped.

These days, Rose is on a self-healing journey and is focused on prioritizing herself.

“Right now, I love myself. I love my kids. I’m not thinking about no man, Tamron,” Rose said. “Not right now.”

We know that's right!

She continued, "Having my own schedule. Not worrying about what anyone else is doing. Waiting for a text message. Not having to send a good night text when I don’t feel like it. Not worrying about what they ate today or what they didn’t eat — I don’t have time! I’m worrying about what I wanna eat.”
