Dascha Polanco is elated about becoming a grandma!

The actor revealed last week that her daughter Dasany Kristal Gonzalez is pregnant, and it's a total upgrade for the grandma-to-be.

In a sweet post on Instagram, she wrote, “I just got a promotion 🩵. 🚫🧢.” The announcement was accompanied by a beautiful snap of Polanco and her expecting daughter as they both donned blue dresses at the baby shower. While the actor smiles in the photo, she is also captured holding her daughter’s growing belly.

Earlier this month, Gonzalez broke the news that she had a growing bun in her oven with other moments from the baby shower. "We already love you to the moon and back 💙🌙.. countdown till your arrival baby," she captioned the post, which featured her posing while looking down and forming a heart atop her belly.

Another photo shows her posing with the father, Dione, as they are seen kissing next to a three-tiered cake engraved with the same slogan in her post.

Other photos within her carousel include a dessert table with the word “BABY” underneath, next to white and platinum balloons, and cute table settings.

During her pregnancy journey, Gonzalez has received a ton of support. She shared another post of her sitting on a couch around a sea of baby items, including a stroller, baby wipes, a toddler rocker, stuffed animals, and a baby chair.

In 2020, the Orange is the New Black alum talked to Parents Latina about being a teen mom and having Gonzalez at age 17.

"One night, my best friend's father said, 'What you're doing is horrible,' and he embarrassed me in front of everyone. I'll never forget that," she recalled. "But I was making the best decision that I could. I knew that having a baby was going to make my life harder, but I was also determined to turn every obstacle into a blessing."

After that, she became a first-generation college student and obtained a degree in Psychology from Hunter College in 2008. Then, at age 25, she welcomed her second child, a son named Aryam.
