50 Cent Implicated in Slowbucks Stolen Chain Investigation

Fif had to have seen the Summer Jam robbery go down, claims his fellow Queens rapper.

Slowbucks has lawyered up.

G-Unit's iconic reunion wasn’t the only thing to go down on stage during 50 Cent's set at Hot 97’s Summer Jam on Sunday (June 1). According to a newly launched investigation, Slowbucks was robbed of his chain, while Fif performed just a few steps away.

Slowbucks, who is one half of the "urban apparel" brand Slowbucks was "assualted" and his lawyer/ civil investigator John P Bostany met on Thursday (June 5) to form a plan of action to get "justice for Slowbucks."

"He was jumped by a bunch of guys that had one thing in mind, to try to hurt his brand," Bostany said at a press conference on Thursday.

"They know he is the founder of Slowbucks, the No. 1 urban brand on the rise today," he continued. "They want to hurt that brand and they are trying to hurt that brand. We are going to put an end to that."

Bostany’s first order of business was addressing 50 Cent's recent interview with Hot 97, in which Fif claimed no knowledge of the incident.

"I looked at the videos and I heard 50's interview on (Hot) 97 by Angie," Bostany said, "... And I heard his responses and his demeanor. If you look at him he says, 'Oh I was looking at the crowd.' I didn't know what was going on behind me. I was happy that day.'"

Bostany discredited Fif's claims of not seeing the incident go down. "If you look at the videos, every single one, whether he's the one picking up the chain or not, is irrelevant, Bostany said. He continued, "His body is facing what's going on and then he turns around, in the middle of it all, and faces the crowd."

The videos Bostany referred to, which showed two men shoving an unidentified man on the floor and taking a chain, surfaced online less than 24-hours after the concert ended.

While Bostany said there are many avenues of investigation he and Slow can take, including assault and theft, no criminal charges have been filed.
