Diddy Addresses Rumored Fight with J. Cole
The rumor mill was on the grind yesterday (Aug. 26) about a fight between Diddy and J. Cole at a VMA after-party. Ever the gentleman, Diddy took to his Twitter to confirm that Cole is his "bro" and offer a somewhat vague explanation of what actually happened.
According to HipHopWired.com, the two were at The Dream Hotel in NYC following the 2013 MTV VMAs for an event sponsored by Diddy's Ciroc and Jay Z's D'ussé, when an exchange of words between them escalated to a scuffle and simmered only when security came in and ejected Cole from the building.
Twitter user Amir_FT wrote that he spotted the "Power Trip" rapper on the elevator amid the aftermath. "lol @ J.cole in the elevator last night. We were going up and he was gettin thrown out for trying to fight diddy. #LifesFunny. S/O 2 him tho"
Diddy, however, maintains that the "fight" wasn't physical, it was just loud talking, later tweeting, "I usually don't address rumors but I got too much respect for my bro @JColeNC. We are friends. We just yell in public sometimes LOL #Fam"
Cole responded in kind, retweeting "D--n @JColeNC caught a fade by Diddy tho?? #liteSkinN---as lose again" and then adding his own, "people will believe anything."
