Lil Durk Hit with Wrongful Death Suit Amid Ongoing Murder Allegations

The lawsuit follows claims that the rapper financed violent attacks, including the fatal shooting of a gang leader.

Rapper Lil Durk is now facing a wrongful death lawsuit alleging that he orchestrated the killing of Saviay’a Robinson in a murder-for-hire scheme, adding to his list of legal issues.

According to a press release issued earlier this week, Postman Law and Rosen Law are representing Robinson’s family in the lawsuit, which names the Chicago rapper, whose real name is Durk Banks, along with his business manager and his Only the Family record label as defendants.

Robinson, described as a “hardworking entrepreneur” and family man, was reportedly ambushed while driving near the Beverly Center alongside his cousin, Quando Rondo. Gunmen allegedly fired multiple rounds into the passenger side of his vehicle, leaving Robinson with critical injuries. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Authorities are now tying Robinson’s death to a federal indictment involving Lil Durk, according to a newly filed wrongful death lawsuit.

“The premature loss of Mr. Robinson has devastated his family and community,” said attorney Warren Postman in a statement. “We filed this lawsuit to hold those responsible accountable and to ensure his family receives the support they need during this difficult time.”

This marks the second wrongful death lawsuit filed against Durk in less than a year. Back in October, the mother of late rapper FBG Duck reportedly filed a civil suit against both Durk and King Von’s estate, alleging their involvement in her son’s murder.

That lawsuit also named multiple high-profile entities, including Durk’s and Von’s record labels, Dolce & Gabbana, the city of Chicago, private security firms, and the six convicted individuals tied to FBG Duck’s shooting.

As of February 2025, the “3 Headed Goat” rapper is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Los Angeles following his October 2024 arrest in connection to an alleged murder-for-hire plot involving rapper Quando Rondo. His trial, initially set for January, has been pushed back to October due to new developments.
