Touring Data reported on X (formerly known as Twitter) that ticket sales for the “Pound Town” hitmaker’s “Sexyy Red 4 President” tour are not selling quickly enough. According to the organization’s data, other media outlets speculated it would be canceled.
On Monday (July 8), Sexyy Red took to her X account to deny the rumors. “My fans are buying tickets, we’re doin’ just fine. [We’re] not [canceling] no tour. Dis [canceling] sh**t all cap,” she wrote.
In a follow-up post, she added, “[This] how [they] try to do [you] [when] [you] go [with] an independent promoter [and] the bigger companies try to sabotage [you]. We not [canceling] s**t.”
The St. Louis star continued, “I did my touring deal with a Black promoter – Black-owned company AG Entertainment and now [they’re] [playing] dirty. [They’re] paying pages, spreading fake news to discourage my fans from buying tickets."
She later retweeted a post that read, “Y’all misinterpreting her tweet. She [is] not blaming the Black-owned company. She [is] basically saying the other companies [are] trying to spread false narratives about the tour because she working with them.”
The arena tour, which is in support of Sexyy Red’s third mixtape, In Sexy We Trust, is set to kick off in Seattle on August 22, 2024. It will end in Nashville on October 1, with 26 shows being done. Opening acts include Hunxho, Loe Shimmy, and BlakeIANA.
