Mimi Faust on Sex Tape: 'We Didn't Do Anything Wrong'
Mimi Faust has faced plenty of backlash after the release of her sex tape with Nikko Smith, and the Love & Hip Hop star is finally responding to the negativity.
"First of all we're adults, we're not kids. We're not underage. What we did in the privacy of our own home as two consenting adults is what we did," Faust says in a video posted to WorldStarHipHop.com. "The way the tape got out, we didn't intend on it getting out to the public. Especially for it to be splashed all over the Internet...I'm so horrified about that...I have young girls right now."
She continues, "One day I'll have to explain this to my daughters, of course. But we're two consenting adults and we didn't do anything wrong."
Faust may be upset about the tape's release, but she is winning the sex-tape popularity contest. TMZ reports that the skin flick is the most pirated sex tape of all time, surpassing Kim Kardashian's and Ray J's X-rated film in popularity.
According to Steve Hirsch of Vivid Entertainment, the company that distributed the film, he has already sent over 1,200 cease-and-desist letters to websites illegally hosting the tape. "If you even try to illegally download this tape we will come after you full force. We have three full-time attorneys prepared and ready to go," Hirsch threatened.
The film has already earned at least $400,000 in pre-sales alone. It officially went on sale Monday at midnight.
