Reality star Mickey "Memphitz" Wright was arrested in Atlanta yesterday for the cardinal sin of airline travel: attempting to bring a gun on a plane.
The husband of Toya Carter, mother to Lil Wayne's first child and star of the BET reality show Toya: A Family Affair, was busted by TSA while trying to get through security with a gun in his backpack. X-Ray scanners quickly identified the firearm and police were called to the scene.
Memphitz says he meant no harm and simply forgot the gun was in his bag. Fortunately, the weapon was properly licensed and registered.
Police took Wright to a jail near Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, where he remains in custody.
