Witness Denzel Washington and Tom Brady Recreate This Iconic Scene from 'Remember the Titans'
Academy Award-winning actor Denzel Washington recently teamed up with former NFL superstar quarterback Tom Brady to reenact a memorable scene from the classic sports film “Remember the Titans.”
During the latest installment of Brady’s podcast, “Let’s Go!,” the former athlete and the veteran actor performed a line reading of the scene where Coach Boone, played by Washington, introduces himself to his new team.
The scene finds Petey Jones, portrayed by Donald Faison, in the crosshairs of Coach Boone, who makes him answer rapid-fire questions about whether he believes football is fun.
“It was fun,” Washington, as Boone, said. “Not fun now, though, was it? Not anymore?”
“Not right now,” Brady answered. “Not right now what?” Washington asked, to which Brady paused. “Come on, you've got to improvise. Not right now, what?”
“Not right now,” Brady repeated.
The mock rehearsal ended with Brady applauding the thespian, saying, “That's for your performance, not mine. That was f—king good.”
“I’m coaching Tom Brady,” Washington playfully answered. “Are you joking?”
