Naomi Campbell Stuns in 1996 Chanel Dress at Cannes Film Festival
Naomi Campbell just gave us all another reminder of why she is that girl.
The legendary supermodel went into the vault for a dress to wear to the Cannes Film Festival that we can't take our eyes off. While walking the red carpet for “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga” at the festival on May 15 (Wednesday), she rocked a black sequin Chanel dress with pearlike straps that she modeled 28 years ago designed by the late Karl Lagerfeld's 1996 fall/winter high fashion collection for the house, as reported by PEOPLE. Nearly three decades later, Campbell remains one of the best gems in the fashion industry.
When she donned the showstopping number in 1996, Campbell, 53, wore a slip under the garment.
But oh, how times have changed! In a world of naked dresses, this time she decided to give the dress a fresh take.
Styled by Law Roach, Campbell went nearly commando under the dress by ditching the slip, revealing her black thong underneath instead.
Get it, Naomi!
While walking on the runway in the gown in the 90s, her hair was styled in a polished swoop. For this 2024 moment, she opted for long luscious waves in her hair.
