Suspect Identified in Lil Snupe Murder
Police have identified a suspect in the tragic murder of 18-year-old rapper Lil Snupe, the Shreveport Times reports.
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Tony Holden, 36, a Texas resident who is wanted for first-degree murder, armed robbery and illegal possession of a firearm. Holden allegedly shot Snupe, whose birth name is Addarren Ross, twice in the stomach outside of an apartment complex after the two got into an argument over a video game. Holden is said to have robbed the young rapper, who was signed to Meek Mill's DreamChasers Records label, of an undisclosed sum of cash.
Holden is at large and considered armed and dangerous by area police.
Lil Snupe, a Louisiana resident, was killed on Thursday, June 20. He was pronounced dead on the scene by police, who responded to a 911 call. Snupe's first mixtape, R.N.I.C., had been downloaded more than 50,000 times according to DatPiff.
Meek Mill, Juelz Santana and Rick Ross were among the hip hop stars who expressed condolence for the upstart rapper.
