The 51-year-old actress and singer most recently appeared in The Bold & The Beautiful and Empire and is currently filming a new series, Be Someone, airing in 2020.

Tisha Michelle Campbell was born on October 13, 1968, in Oklahoma City. She was raised in Newark, New Jersey.
Campbell's mother, Ramona Shockley, was a nurse and gospel singer. Her father, Clifton Campbell, was a factory worker and singer.
Campbell is the second eldest of six; she has one older brother, three younger brothers and one younger sister.

Campbell frequently entered talent contests as a child. In her very first competition, she won the grand prize of a car.
After graduating from the Arts High School in Newark, Campbell moved to Hollywood to pursue her acting career. Her first role was on NBC’s comedy-drama series Rags to Riches.
Campbell appeared in Toni Braxton’s "You're Makin' Me High” music video and two of Will Smith’s music videos, “Will 2K” (1999) and “Wild Wild West” (1999).

Aside from acting, Campbell loves to sing. Her debut album, titled Tisha, was released in 1993 by Capitol/EMI Records. The album, featuring the singles "Push" and "Love Me Down,” sold 40,000 copies.
Campbell also choreographed a dance routine that was featured in the cult classic House Party (1990).
In 2001, Campbell was diagnosed with sarcoidosis, an inflammatory condition. However, the actress doesn't want her fans to be overly concerned about it. “Through early diagnosis I’m happy to share that I stay healthy with diet and exercise,” she said in a statement in 2011.

Campbell's music video “Steel Here” was released in September 2015 from her album of the same name. She also released the single “Lazy B*tch” in 2016.
Campbell is the mother of two boys, Ezekiel Czar Martin and Xen Martin.
