This Chance The Rapper And Lin-Manuel Miranda Performance Was Everything We Never Knew We Needed
Fresh off of hosting Saturday Night Live rap superstar, Chance The Rapper headed back to his hometown of Chicago to hit the stage at former President and First Lady Barack and Michelle Obama’s Obama Foundation Summit.
The Chicago rapper performed a medley of his hits including, “First World Problems, “Summer Friends,” and his verse on Francis and the Lights’ “May I Have This Dance.” Things took an interesting turn when Hamilton playwright and star Lin-Manuel Miranda unexpectedly came out singing while Chano performed “Dear Theodosia,” a popular track lifted off of The Hamilton Mixtape.
Created to help entrepreneurs, organizers and civil servants share their ideas, sharpen their skills and creating lasting relationships. “The Obama Foundation will seek to inspire people everywhere to give back, get involved, and recognize that they, too, have the power to make a difference,” per the Obama Summit website.
Chance The Rapper and Lin-Manuel Miranda weren’t alone. Nas and Gloria Estefan were among the performers to grace the stage at the Obama Foundation Summit.
