Cash Money Signs International Pop Group
Hoping to make some more “Baby money,” Cash Money is signing its first pop act.
Six-member teen band Savvy has finalized a contract with the legendary New Orleans–based label. The group stars in the internationally broadcast TV show The Wannabes, which will premiere in North America on September 5 on Starz Kids & Family. The group is looking to bring their international fame stateside with the show and their upcoming debut album.
With the signing, Cash Money hopes to expand on their recent string of successes with Lil Wayne, Drake and Nicki Minaj. Other artists on the label include Jay Sean, Birdman, Tyga, Cory Gunz, Shannell, Jae Millz, Lil Chuckee, Kevin Rudloff and Lil Twist.
