Watch: Black Friday Madness Reaches Outrageous Low Leaving Four People Shot Over Sales Across The U.S.
While retailers are hoping to break all sorts of sales records over Black Friday weekend, something that so far is already projected to happen, another phenomenon sadly is breaking out: fights escalating over sales.
At the time of this report, multiple shootings have already taken place throughout the U.S., taking the lives of at least two shoppers today (Nov. 25).
As reported, Black Friday sales have sadly resulted in disagreements between customers, with four separate arguments taking a violent turn. Thus far, gun violence has erupted at a Walmart in Nevada, a Macy's in New Jersey and outside of two malls in Tennessee, with at least six people being shot across the country.
One deal-hungry customer, who has yet to be identified, was shot dead in Nevada, following the gunman and the victim fighting over a parking spot.
Additionally, Demond Cottman, 21, of Atlantic City, was shot multiple times outside of a Macy's department store and declared dead on the scene. His 26-year-old brother, Shadi Cottman, was also shot in the leg during the chaotic incident, and is listed to be in stable condition at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center. Officials have not yet concluded what sparked the deadly altercation, nor have they shared if they have a suspect in custody at this time.
Demond's family spoke to reporters following receiving the tragic news, sharing that their son was proudly married and a new father, as well as was currently studying to be an electrical apprentice after serving in the Air Force.
As people are still participating in Black Friday into the late evening hours tonight, we can only hope that violent episodes don't continue to erupt across the nation's shopping centers. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families dealing with loss this holiday season as a result of these tragic and senseless Black Friday incidents.
