New England Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount held up a T-shirt, with the words “B***h Mode” and No. 24, during the team’s Super Bowl parade in Boston on Wednesday. Blount says it wasn’t an insult to Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch, who’s nicknamed “Beast Mode,” but the ’Hawks aren’t buying it.

“Blount Had a sign that said b***h mode? Lol and they said we had no class,” Seahawks linebacker Bruce Irvin tweeted on Wednesday evening after learning about the parade’s events.

Despite the seemingly clear message that the T-shirt was making, Blount insists he wasn’t trying to disrespect Lynch.

“About this shirt…just so ppl know, I have 100% respect for @MoneyLynch and how he plays the game. There's a reason he's called #BeastMode,” Blount tweeted nearly an hour and a half after Irvin.

Fellow Patriots running back Brandon Bolden was also seen holding up the controversial T-shirt, but he apologized.

“I apologize for holding up that t shirt. I have tons of respect for @MoneyLynch and his game. This was a childish and classless act by me,” Bolden tweeted.

Lynch himself hasn't responded to either Patriots running back.
