Watch Kendrick Lamar Give a Lesson in ‘Hard Work’
A game of basketball becomes a life lesson, courtesy of Kendrick Lamar’s new video piece. In “Hard Work,” directed by Davide Meyers and the Little Homies, Lamar plays a “big brother” of sorts shooting hoops with a young boy and schooling him along the way.
The piece opens with a one-on-one game that gets interrupted by a fan showing love to K-Dot. The boy can’t help but marvel at Lamar’s fame, but the BET Music Matters artist says the fan merely “recognizes hard work.”
Lamar and the boy leave the court and head over to a corner store where he runs into a few more fans. Throughout the video, K Dot drives home the “hard work” premise.
With just over a week left until 2016, "Hard Work" is an inspiring way to carry you into the new year.
