Alicia Keys Teams Up With 'World of Betters'
Alicia Keys showed her support for philanthropic efforts yesterday (November 1), surprising students at her old high school as a co-sponsor of Western Union's World of Betters campaign.
Keys spoke at the Professional Performing Arts School in New York about the campaign, which asks ordinary people to come up with ways to use $1,000 to improve someone's life.
“As the co-founder of Keep a Child Alive, I constantly see that there are so many ways the world can be made a better place,” she said, referencing her charity efforts toward helping children affected by AIDS. "That’s why I’m so excited to work on the ‘World of Betters’ initiative and I know for a fact that there are so many people out there with amazing ideas that can show how even a small change can make a big impact.”
Alicia is currently hard at work on her fifth album, which is yet untitled. She is also a producer and composer for the upcoming broadway show, Stick Fly.
